I graduted from Sikeston High School in 2009. I was active in the school as a Red Pepper and Junior Chamber of Commerce. After I graduted high school I went to straight to college at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. I graduated from SEMO in May of 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 6th grade. I graduated college as a part of the Honor Sorrority Kappa Delta Pi.
I currently have a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. My certification allows me to teach grades Pre-K through 6th.
This will be my first year teaching as I am a recent graduate. Although this is my first year teaching, I am no stranger to the classroom. I completed many in-field hours in the Sikeston R-6 School District as well as the Dexter School District. Here in Sikeston I worked at Lee Hunter and the Kindergarten Center. This year at Southeast I will be the Writing and English teacher to all of the fourth graders.
I have one son who will be three in October. He is my heart and soul and keeps me very busy outside of school. He is not in school yet but does attend a preschool (3 year old) program. We have one dog, Rascal. He is Shihpom and weighs 4lbs. He does look a little bit like a gremlin. I will post a picture of him soon!
When I am not teaching I stay pretty busy with my little one. He is at such a fun age, learning and growing, each day is a new adventure with him. In the summers you can almost always find us out by the pool relaxing and swimming. He loves the water! I also enjoy shopping. I love the Dollar Tree and Target! I also like to spend time with my family and friends. I value my relationships with friends and family and try my best to make sure that they know that even when all of our schedules are crazy!
