Assistant Principal
I graduated from DeSoto High School. I then continued my education at Southeast Missouri State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an Elementary Education add on. I have received a Master Degree in Educational Administration and a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University.
I started my career as a fourth grade teacher at Mathews Elementary. I then had the opportunity to teach at the Sikeston Career and Technology Center as their Early Childhood Education Instructor. In this position I taught juniors and seniors in high school to teach early educators and I have a classroom of preschool children that I teach and the high school students get hands on practice teaching.
I am happily married to Steve Beydler. We have four children. My husband also works for the school district. He teaches Digital Media, is in charge of SPS-TV12 and has coached Sikeston Bulldog Volleyball for the past 19 years My oldest daughter Rachel Bernhardt lives in St. Louis with her husband Matt and her daughter Aubrey. Rachel is also an educator and teaches high school mathematics. My second child, Stephen Beydler works in Cape Girardeau, MO at Ruby Tuesday as their general manager. My youngest two children are twins, Adam and Lauren Beydler. Adam works for Aramark and Lauren currently teaches mathematics at the 5th & 6th Grade Center. I have a malti-poo named Chloe. Chloe is our pet but she is family to us. We also have “gran-dogs”, Bodie, Paisley, and Bentley.
I am very excited to join Southeast Elementary as an administrator. I cannot wait to get to know all the children and families of Southeast. I look forward to working with the staff here continuing the legacy of educating young minds they have started.
