I graduated high school in 2009 from Jackson Senior High School. I then attended Southeast Missouri State University where I pursued a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in social studies. I graduated in December of 2012. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in educational leadership from Southeast Missouri State.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University. I am certified to teach grades 1-6 in the state of Missouri.
I joined the Southeast Elementary team for the 2018-2019 school year as a first grade teacher. I am excited to be starting my fourth year in first grade with the Sikeston school district!
After graduating from Southeast Missouri State University, I taught 4th grade for three years at Cape Christian School in Cape Girardeau beginning in 2013. I then served as part-time director of student services for one year. I stayed home for a year full time with my son before joining the Southeast team as a first grade teacher in 2018.
I married my husband, Blake, in 2013. We currently live in Jackson with our two children; Caleb, who is 6 years old, and Anna Grace who is 2. We also have a havanese dog named Jack.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading, golfing, and traveling. Some of the places I’ve enjoyed traveling to are Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, and Guatemala. My family loves going to the beach in Florida. I also enjoy watching baseball and golf. My favorite baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals!
