In 2003, I began my teaching career in St. Louis teaching 2nd and 6th grade. My family relocated to Southeast Missouri, and in 2008 I began teaching at Sikeston. I taught 5th grade at the 5th and 6th Grade Center for five years. In 2013, I became one of the Technology Instructional Coaches for Sikeston R6. I was in charge of our district’s 1:1 Initiative, Project iLearn, at the Junior High. In 2017 I was promoted to Assistant Principal/Academic Leader at Southeast Elementary. In 2019, I was promoted to head principal/academic leader for Southeast Elementary.
I have been married since 2002. My husband and I have three children: Vance, Jillian, and Pierce. We have two pets, a tabby cat named Sunshine and a beagle named Holly.
My family and my school family keeps me pretty busy and I wouldn’t want it any other way! When I do have spare time, I like to spend time with my family and children. I also enjoy traveling, with the beach being my favorite place to be.
