I use brag tags in the classroom. Brag tags are a classroom incentive system that are used to encourage, promote, and celebrate positive behavior. These tags are rectangular in shape, come in many colors, and hung on a necklace. When a student demonstrates a behavior that I feel is exemplary, a tag is rewarded to that student. Students can wear their brag tag necklace at certain times during the day or week.
In my classroom, I also use Class Dojo. Class Dojo promotes a positive classroom environment, gives students a voice by allowing them to add photos of their learning, and it’s a way share the learning that takes place in the classroom with parents. Students earn points and Diamond Dollars for each positive behavior. Students use the Diamond Dollars that they’ve earned towards items in the school store. Below is more information on Class Dojo and how to sign up.
