Lesson Plans

The students are continuing their study on the Haudenosaunee Native Americans.  We have read two different stories on this subject.  We will make connections of the two texts and the videos we have seen.  We will take this information and write a paragraph, discussing complete sentences, fragments, and run-ons.  During the rest of the week, we will take a mid-unit assessment.  We will develop our own personal wapums and begin writing about them using a four square organizer.

In Social Studies, we will begin our discussion on the Bill of Rights.  Students will develop what rights and responsbilities citizens should have and then compare to what our Four Fathers thought.

In spelling, we will begin this week with short vowel sounds.  Words came home last Thursday and the test will be this Friday, Sept. 1st.
