I am a new 3rd grade teacher at Southeast Elementary for the 2016-2017 school year. This is also my first year teaching. I am teaching reading, grammar, spelling, writing, math, science and social studies.
I am new to teaching and completed my student teaching at Jonesboro Elementary in IL. Prior to teaching, I worked in Mental health and Developmental Disabilities.
I am not married and have a black lab who is my “fur kid”. I have twin neice and nephew who are 1 year old and keep me busy. I am the youngest of three children and both older siblings are brothers.
I love to read and learn. In my spare time I bake and cook as often as possible and ran a small candy and sweets business from my home for a short while. I truly love to travel and will make a trip to Ireland one day. I have been to England and France thus far. I am an avid reader and still stubbornly hold to the “old fashioned” books that you have to hold and turn pages while risking a paper cut.
